As one of the world’s largest mineral corporations Imerys operate 10 research and development facilities through the globe. In support of these they have been introducing “Innovations Zones” designed to create open meeting and presentation areas for the development teams. We were briefed to design the facility for the UK head office in Par, Cornwall.

The designated area took up around 75m2 of existing, but little used, office space adjacent to the labs. We created a completely new, open, light and friendly space conducive to creative thinking and open discussion with breakaway areas, a presentation facility and café style discussion arena.
